Gabriele Colangelo Fall RTW 2010

Hola Chicas,

As I was sifting through the Fall RTW 2010 collections from Milan Fashion Week, I noticed a designer's name that I was not all that familiar with for some reason. As I looked for some of the previous collections by this designer to see if I recognized his designs, I realized that he has only had two shows thus far- Spring 2010 RTW and this Fall 2010 RTW. But if you were to look at the collections of this designer, you would think that he was a seasoned veteran. His attention to detail and the unique layering of fabrics seen in his collections are awe-inspiring, considering his lack of experience.














All I can say is wow. I personally ADORED this collection. The colors remained in a neutral color palette throughout the whole collection, but not once was I bored and praying that there would be color soon. As I'm sure you all probably know, I am a HUGE fan of color. I can't get enough of it. But the jewels and the details in this collection left me wanting more. And not of color. Each piece was so different from the next, and they were all so artfully crafted. Mr. Colangelo's inspiration for this collection was the idea of erosion and rocks, and considering his specialization in fabric, it made for the perfect idea for his Fall collection. Plus, I LOVED the shoes in this collection. =) I cannot wait to see what else comes from this new up-and-coming designer.

A Double Dose of Fashion

Hola Chicas,

Here are some pictures of the Dsquared Fall 2010 RTW fashion show in Milan. I enjoyed this show. It was different than most of the other ones I've seen so far, yet it incorporated some of the major trends, like thigh-high boots and fur. I for one am not that big a fan of fur, but I liked the way Dan and Dean presented it in this collection.


Here are two of the fur pieces. Most of the other ones were in black, but I liked the caramel colored ones better. Plus, Chanel Iman is rocking one of these fur looks!















Sorry there are SOOOOO many pictures in this post, but there were just so many different looks that I had to include all of these! Plus, I absolutely ADORE Chanel Iman, and I LOVE the second dress she's wearing. All of these looks are so amazing, and here are the designers, Dan and Dean Caten, themselves on the runway during their show.

Erdem Fall 2010

Hola Chicas,

I am absolutely in LOVE with Erdem's Fall 2010 collection. Mr. Erdem Moralioglu has done it again with this collection. I was in love with the different textures and prints used in this show. And the colors were so sophisticated, yet the collection was playful. I am sooooo impressed with this collection.










I am in LOVE with the last outfit, the one with the minnie-mouse-esque puff shoulders and the ruffle-y skirt. It's hard to describe, but it HAS to be my favorite outfit in this entire collection, and one of my favorites of the season. I can't wait to see what comes next from this designer.

Hola Chicas,

So I was just perusing some old Vogue photos, and I found this photo shoot from Italian Vogue in September 2009. I have to say, I DO take a sudden chill seeing these pictures!




And Cruella is portrayed by none other than Belgian-born model, Hannelore Knuts. I really like this editorial. It has that edgy, mad-scientist vibe to it. I just thought it could be a little source of inspiration for you all today! =)

Semi-Formal 2010
