"Have you seen this gizmo?" and other Tidbits of Fun

Blahhhh, okay, I know I promised an outfit post because its been CENTURIES since I've shown you girlies a little sneaky-peek into my wardrobe, buuuut, that is not possible at the moment seeing as my brother has stolen my camera and it is nowhere to be found. :( However, I do have another online store to tell you lovelies about. I was checking out Fred Flare when I saw this absolutely ADORABLE pair of PB&J earrings!

Aren't they just the cutest thing you've ever seen? Well, minus Elmo. :)

But anyways, let's not get started on my Muppet/Disney obsession, shall we? Anyways, when I saw this pair of earrings, I noticed it said that they were designed by Komodokat, so I Googled the name and came to this website on Etsy. So I shopped around a little and saw just how freaking AMAZING this work is. It's so simple and cute and adorable, but I just wanna buy EVERYTHING in this shop. It's all handmade, so no two pieces are alike, and many of the things can be custom ordered. Plus, it's kind of Japanime-meets-kawaii. ALL of the jewelry you can find there can add a fun little pop of color or quirkiness to any outfit, and I plan on buying a couple pairs of earrings and maybe a bracelet or two. :) After I checked out everything in this shop, I looked around Etsy a bit more to find some more one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry like this, and I stumbled upon Spotted Frog Designs, which is similar to Komodokat, but isn't as Japanime, and is more cutesy (if that's even possible) and isn't as shiny so it seems a little more handmade than Komodokat's jewelry, but is equally as cute. I have another little obsession with dinosaurs and I fell in love with these two pieces of Triceratops jewelry:

Ahhh, so I died a little (in a good way) when I saw these, because they just fed my dino obsession more. :) Plus, Spotted Frog also does Elmo, Kermit, and Beeker earrings, so I'm super excited to check out those! :) All of the jewelry I mentioned here is SO affordable, and cost around $10 for Komodokat, and around $6 for Spotted Frog, but bracelets, necklaces, and specialty items cost a little more. Also, you can order a custom-made Komodokat Kouture necklaces, which contain 40-45 of her FABULOUS charms (which you choose!). However, the price for this loveliness is $110. YIKES! But it makes sense considering EVERYTHING is handmade (besides the chain for the necklace, of course) and the entire necklace is made-to-order and expresses your personal style. So, if you're willing to spend the money, I would definitely suggest a one-of-a-kind piece like this that will DEFINITELY get people talking! :) That's all for now I guess. If I can hunt down that camera I will DEFINITELY be posting some outfits and some recent purchases and a DIY project of mine. Oh, and I also saw Remember Me today because Alice in Wonderland was sold out. :( But it was reallllly good! I definitely suggest checking out this movie!

Con Amor,
Lauren
